Las Vegas--Pamela Froman expanded her signature crushed-gold pieces this year with the new Boulder Crush collection, which features Australian boulder opals paired with vibrant gemstones: tanzanite and Paraiba tourmaline.

Opals, especially boulder opals, still play a major role in her designs, framed in 18-karat crushed yellow, white and pink gold, and accented with tanzanite and Paraiba. Froman’s pieces offer a bold and distinguished look, easily carried over from day to night.

From the new Boulder Crush line, the one-of-a-kind Hera’s Crush pendant in 18-karat yellow crushed gold with an 18.03-carat Australian boulder opal framed by two rows of pavé-set paraiba tourmaline ($20,900) and an 18-karat pink and yellow crushed-gold ring with an Australian boulder opal and diamond pavé ($7,480)

Froman also showcased some of her new bridal pieces at Couture, including the Warm Wedding bridal suite, the Pastel Wedding set and the Rustic Wedding pieces.

The Warm Wedding bridal suite (left) has outer eternity bands in 18-karat pink and yellow crushed gold set with diamonds ($3,190 each) while the solitaire ring features a 1.72-carat fancy brownish-yellow cushion-cut modified brilliant diamond surrounded by pavé diamonds and diamonds on the band (price upon request). The outer bands of the Rustic Wedding stack are 18-karat yellow crushed gold with chocolate rhodium and 18-karat white crushed gold with charcoal rhodium with diamonds ($2,090 each), while the 18-karat crushed-white gold solitaire ring has a 1.03-carat gray diamond surrounded by diamond pavé ($5,280).

New Collection Inspired by Award-Winning Design!

Pamela with her award in NY, and the award-winning ring.
Just last month, Pamela was flown out to NY to be presented with a "Dazzle Diva" Award at the WJA Spring Gala!  This award recognized her one-of-a-kind ring design as Best of Business / Daywear in the annual WJA design competition: a stunning cocktail ring of 18k Pink & White "Crushed" Gold featuring a phenomenal Australian Opalized Wood cabochon surrounded by electric blue Paraiba Tourmaline!

Behind the scenes: Pamela designing the new collection.
Pamela is in love with opals and has been working with Ethiopian Opal, Mexican Fire Opal, and Australian Boulder Opal to make standalone one-of-a-kind pieces for years.  Now, with encouragement from the fabulous reception this special ring has received, she has selected many unique Australian beauties that will become a one-of-a-kind collection debuting at the prestigious Couture Show in Las Vegas this May!  Like the award-winning ring, these new designs will incorporate colorful gemstone pave that complements the individual opal in each creation.  I'm excited to show you the pieces when they are finished!

Matrix Opal "Mommy Earrings" featured in Eclat Magazine!

I just realized I hadn't yet shared this lovely bit of press that surprised us last month!

Eclat, a beautiful new magazine created to "enlighten, entertain and educate", featured Pamela's one-of-a-kind "Mommy Earrings" in the Showcase section of their very first issue!  We are honored, and excited to see the future of this publication unfold.

The earrings shown are made of 18k Pink & Yellow "Crushed" Gold with Diamonds, featuring a large pair of fabulous Matrix Boulder Opals from the Yowah Opal field in Australia.  As the article mentions, Pamela calls these "Mommy Earrings" because the Scroll Studs can be worn without the drops, "Perfect for the busy (and stylish) mom on the go!"
